Job Description
Application Modernization Engineer responsible for modernizing applications with Google Cloud. The role focuses on designing scalable architectures and executing modernization strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute application modernization strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, rebuild)
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using modern frameworks and architectures
- Implement and evolve DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Design scalable and resilient application architectures on Google Cloud
- Utilize Application Development Kits (ADKs) and modern development frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between architecture, development, and operations
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Support cloud migration and transformation initiatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in application development and modernization projects
- Strong background in DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, automation, version control)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud
- Solid understanding of application architecture patterns (microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Application Development Kits (ADKs) and modern development ecosystems
