Job Description
Provide leadership and support to Youth Leaders at Pukekohe Youth Division in New Zealand. Develop and deliver programs that enhance personal development and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction and support to Youth Leaders and members of the Pukekohe Youth Division
- Lead the development and delivery of a high quality program which enhances the personal development of its members
- Effectively support the Divisional Manager to manage the Division to ensure a high performing team
- Provide mentoring, development and people leadership to Youth Leaders and Cadet NCO's
- Contribute to annual, term, nightly and lesson programme planning
- Ensure Divisional involvement across all aspect of the Youth Program
- Actively engage in the delivery of Regional and District Level events as required
- Ensure implementation and adherence to all St John Policies and procedures (CPP compliance and reporting, issue management and escalation protocols)
- Make sure all activities are suitable, relevant, and loaded with fun and adventure for all participants
Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills and a keen interest in working with young people
- A proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- An aptitude for working with a diverse demographic group e.g. age, culture, background
- You will most certainly be an active team player
- Have a natural talent for thinking and working outside the square
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to use a computer and have access to the Internet and E-Mail
- Contribute a minimum of two hours per week to the role and attend overnight camps from time to time
