Job Description

Remote bilingual paralegal coordinator managing EOIR cases, motions, and legal staff for Mangone Law Firm. Supporting immigrants nationwide through a New Jersey-based immigration law firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Pre-Attorney and Post-Attorney Reviews of 12–15 packages weekly, ensuring motions and filings meet legal and formatting standards
  • Assign and balance the team’s caseload, including Court/ICE cases, USCIS motions, SIJ, and declarations, according to complexity and availability
  • Maintain a master deadline calendar
  • Implement at least one process improvement every two weeks involving documents, templates, or automations
  • Verify adoption of process improvements in the team’s daily work

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrable experience at immigration law firms, with direct and active handling of cases before the Immigration Court (EOIR / removal defense)
  • Fluent Spanish and English speaking and writing skills (minimum B2 level)
  • Prior experience supervising, coordinating, or leading paralegals or legal staff, preferably in remote environments
  • Mastery of EOIR procedures, including Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, BIA appeal process, and e-filing
  • Ability to review and validate Continuance, Change of Venue, Reopen, Reconsider, Terminate, Withdraw, Administrative Closure, and Bond motions
  • Knowledge of immigration relief available in removal proceedings, including asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status
  • Willingness to personally step into a case or motion and set an example for the team
