Job Description
Business Analyst translating stakeholder needs into Oracle SQL data specifications at PLATO, Canada’s Indigenous-owned technology services company. Validating solutions, requirements, and data quality with engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate data and reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into actionable specifications for the Data Engineering team
- Support backlog refinement, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition
- Work with Data Engineers and the Product Owner to validate data solutions
- Use Oracle SQL to interrogate datasets and confirm accuracy
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify and document data quality issues
- Collaborate with engineers on resolution approaches and preventive controls
Requirements:
- Current Government of Canada clearance at Reliability or higher required at time of application
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Preference for experience with large enterprise-level transformations
- Intermediate proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis
- Beginner proficiency in Oracle SQL and Product Development
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and data requirements
- Ability to translate business needs into clear technical specifications
- Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and ability to read and interpret data
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfort using data to support business analysis and solution validation
