Job Description

Business Development Manager growing MooreCo’s K-12 furniture sales through dealer, architect, designer, and end-user relationships. Managing consultative selling, quotes, territory growth, and customer solutions across KS, MO, and AR.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a network of dealers, including existing partners
  • Maintain relationships with local architects and interior designers
  • Develop and maintain an end-user client network and K-12 furniture sales project portfolio
  • Complete sales quotes and freight quotes in the company system
  • Conduct face-to-face, needs-based consultative selling using MooreCo, Inc. products and solutions
  • Grow revenue within the assigned geographic territory, focusing on target accounts
  • Analyze competitor strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to drive balanced growth across product categories
  • Develop multi-level relationships with existing and potential customers to promote, market, and sell MooreCo, Inc. brands
  • Own the end-to-end customer relationship experience, including customer solutions, problem solving, and follow-up
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction through understanding fulfillment processes and programs
  • Continuously improve skills and product knowledge
  • Uncover new leads using market conditions and trends
  • Communicate and report weekly to the Director of Educational and Industrial Sales Manager regarding territory and account plans and information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must have relevant sales experience in the K-12 furniture industry
  • Strong understanding of the principles of sales
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices
  • Ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in achieving sales quotas
  • Outstanding selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, organizational, and time management skills through relationship management and openness to feedback
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them
  • Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision
