Job Description
Business Development Manager launching Omnilex’s AI-native legal services with US financial institutions. Building pipeline, sales processes, and partnerships across New York.
Responsibilities:
- Build the New York pipeline from zero through target-account lists, outbound, events, referrals, and partner channels
- Engage general counsels, heads of compliance, legal operations, and business owners at banks, asset managers, funds, and insurers
- Convert thought leadership and existing relationships into sales conversations
- Run the commercial process end to end, including qualification, discovery, scoping, proposals, and signature
- Coordinate scoping and proposals with the firm's lawyers
- Translate legal problems into commercial propositions for internal buyer approval
- Navigate procurement, security reviews, and panel processes at regulated institutions
- Define positioning and sales materials for the AI-native law firm
- Feed market feedback into future productized legal services
- Build CRM, reporting, and automation for a repeatable sales motion
- Hire behind the commercial motion as the US business grows
- Work alongside the firm's lawyers and founders to open the US market
Requirements:
- Several years of enterprise or complex B2B sales, business development, or client-facing consulting experience
- Demonstrable closing record
- Experience selling into financial institutions or professional services
- Comfortable with six/seven-figure deals and long sales cycles
- Experience building pipeline from nothing
- Ability to conduct substantive conversations with general counsel and know when to involve lawyers
- Structured and self-directed approach; accurate pipeline management
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Native/fluent English
- Based in New York
- Existing relationships with GCs, compliance, or legal operations leadership at banks, funds, or insurers (bonus)
- Legal, legal-tech, or financial-services background, or experience selling to regulated buyers (bonus)
- Experience building AI automations, agents, or workflows (bonus)
- Authorization to work in the US
- Willingness to relocate to New York if not already based there
