Job Description

Business Development Partner growing CooperVision’s contact-lens sales across Quebec. Managing customer relationships, territory plans, optical-office training, and business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed projected sales goals based on the territory quota
  • Use a disciplined consultative selling approach to uncover and meet customer needs
  • Maintain the territory call cycle with a minimum of 6 customer meetings per workday
  • Respond to customer phone and email inquiries within 24 hours
  • Complete and update comprehensive customer profiles
  • Formulate and execute call cycle plans to grow territory business
  • Prepare and present account business plans for at least the top 25 customers and quarterly growth plans
  • Develop new business within the geographic territory
  • Maintain technical proficiency with CooperVision and competitive products
  • Keep current with industry trends and Health Product Research data
  • Integrate and train customer offices on CooperVision technology and value-added products and services
  • Develop customer marketing plans and promotions and monitor return on investment
  • Use the CRM tool and daily reports to analyze product, account sales, and territory growth
  • Participate in provincial and regional optical shows when requested
  • Submit call, expense, ROI, and other administrative reports on time
  • Travel independently throughout the territory and outside the territory for conferences, site trainings, and regional meetings

Requirements:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and assimilate information to make quality decisions
  • Ability to present to customer groups of various sizes
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the optical industry or related medical/technical healthcare field
  • Tangible product sales experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the optical industry beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with sales experience and a demonstrated track record of performance and results will be considered
  • Extensive territory travel required
  • Travel outside the territory for conferences, site trainings, and regional meetings (10–15%)
