Job Description

Business Systems Analyst III supporting Robert Half’s PeopleSoft HCM, payroll, benefits, and time systems. Leading requirements, testing, implementation, and production stability initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business problems and identify automated solutions, processes, and procedures
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing cost-effective systems and procedures
  • Create system specifications that meet business requirements
  • Configure system settings and options
  • Plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing
  • Consult with users regarding automated systems
  • Lead cross-functional teams addressing business or systems issues
  • Review design proposals and provide feedback on alignment with business requirements
  • Ensure application systems align with user needs, objectives, processes, and business strategies
  • Consult on complex projects as a top-level contributor/specialist
  • Contribute to department delivery policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance to other BSA resources as a subject matter expert and/or project lead
  • Guide implementation of new business processes supporting system changes
  • Ensure integrated systems and production are highly available and stable
  • Oversee and guide BSAs and business partners on enhancements and day-to-day application and production issues
  • Develop systems implementation strategies with key business stakeholders
  • Create and/or orchestrate project plans across the development lifecycle, including maintenance planning
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective systems implementation
  • Lead change-management activities for the user community
  • Document, lead reviews, and obtain formal approval for detailed functional requirements from business owners, development, and QA

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, other functional training in business, or equivalent
  • 6+ years of business functional area experience
  • MS Office Suite
  • PeopleSoft functional training
  • Security administration
  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Complete SDLC experience
  • SMLE level of business acumen in multiple functional areas, with expertise in a minimum of one area
  • Extensive in-depth knowledge of multiple enterprise applications
  • Knowledge of system development and project management methodologies, including OO and PMI
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
  • Ability to communicate business processes to technical resources
  • Ability to create complex process flow diagrams or flowcharts
  • Ability to gather and document requirements and confirm observations with business owners
  • Ability to perform fit/gap analysis
  • Ability to create detailed test plans for large-sized initiatives
  • Knowledge of business systems software and software development lifecycle
  • Ability to write complex queries and reports
  • Ability to develop project plans meeting established deliverables and timelines
  • Ability to provide guidance to lower-level personnel and conduct training
  • Ability to conduct meetings, gather information, and present status
  • Successful completion of a background check as a condition of employment
