Job Description

Business Systems Analyst/Scrum Master driving Agile requirements, backlog, ceremonies, releases, and incident response. Supporting GDIT’s government technology and mission-services delivery with AI/ML and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead stakeholder discovery sessions to define objectives, scope, success metrics, and requirements
  • Translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements
  • Own backlog health and readiness, prioritize work, manage scope, and drive refinement
  • Serve as Scrum Master by facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing blockers, coaching Agile practices, and improving throughput
  • Plan and direct day-to-day work execution with USPS technical leads
  • Ensure priorities are clear and developers have sufficient ready work
  • Represent the delivery team in cross-functional planning and communicate status, decisions, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs
  • Support ROM estimates by coordinating engineering and architecture inputs
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, security, and operations on feasible and supportable solutions aligned with SDLC/DevSecOps
  • Support release and deployment activities, including readiness coordination, cutover planning, validation, communications, and post-release defect triage
  • Assist during critical incidents by coordinating information flow, tracking actions, documenting impact and timelines, and prioritizing corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce delivery risk, and improve quality, performance, and operational readiness
  • Identify and promote practical AI/ML and automation opportunities to improve analysis, planning, reporting, and delivery workflow efficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university
  • If lacking a relevant four-year degree, four additional years of relevant work experience is required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Product Owner/Analyst, Scrum Master, or similar hybrid role supporting technology delivery
  • Ability to translate complex needs into Agile artifacts, including epics, features, stories, acceptance criteria, workflow/process maps, edge cases, and non-functional requirements
  • Scrum Master capability in facilitation, conflict resolution, coaching, dependency management, and continuous improvement
  • Systems-thinking and end-to-end understanding of upstream/downstream impacts, data flows, integrations, and operational support
  • Technical fluency with SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD concepts, environments, APIs/integrations, and logging/monitoring
  • Practical understanding of AI/ML concepts, use cases, limitations/risks, and governance considerations
  • Experience with Agile lifecycle/work management tools such as VersionOne, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
  • Experience with ticketing/ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent
  • Strong written communication, presentation, and cross-functional discussion skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to operate in ambiguity and manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalents
  • Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Must provide onsite fingerprinting at a designated facility
  • U.S. residency requirement
  • USPS security process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territories under the stated travel-duration limits
  • U.S. Citizenship is not required
  • Preferred: Scrum certification such as CSM or PSM and/or scaled Agile experience such as SAFe
  • Preferred: experience supporting production releases and incident response in high-availability environments
  • Preferred: experience incorporating security, privacy, and performance requirements into delivery artifacts
