Job Description

Senior Business Analyst supporting First American’s title and escrow services through AI transformation, process optimization, and strategic analysis. Translating complex business needs into requirements, insights, and measurable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders, technology leaders, subject matter experts, customers, and other stakeholders to understand business problems and analysis needs
  • Plan analysis approaches based on business context, goals, challenges, baseline metrics, and stakeholder needs
  • Conduct and document business and system discovery covering current-state processes, capabilities, value streams, systems, and data
  • Research user needs, feedback, and change impacts
  • Lead or participate in working sessions, workshops, and interviews to elicit and document business needs and requirements
  • Analyze findings to identify gaps, change impacts, challenges, assumptions, and opportunities across people, process, and technology
  • Lead market, financial, operations, and organizational data analysis to identify trends, derive insights, validate hypotheses, and inform decisions
  • Develop executive presentations and readouts backed by business cases, data, and recommendations
  • Support future-state design by documenting business requirements, target-state capabilities, processes, and features
  • Lead requirements elicitation and solution documentation; translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements
  • Map system and data definitions and support testing to confirm alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with Project, Research, Product, Change Management, and other teams during implementation
  • Create and maintain requirements documents, process maps, context diagrams, value stream maps, capability maps, findings, and user stories
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent, deadline-driven projects
  • Contribute to the Strategic Analysis Center of Excellence
  • Perform additional tasks identified by management to support business objectives

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Business Management or B.S. degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge leading or supporting analysis within AI transformation projects and process optimization
  • Experience identifying AI opportunities, use cases, and exploratory efforts with operations teams
  • Active use of AI tools beyond basic prompting, with experience developing or guiding solutions with real business impact
  • Experience with Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Co-pilot, or other AI-powered productivity tools is a plus
  • Advanced presentation skills and ability to facilitate group discussions and present information to stakeholders, including executives
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis and/or process improvement experience working directly with business users on Research & Discovery or transformation projects
  • Comfort with ambiguity and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to break down work components, formulate questions, complete root cause analysis, and facilitate discussions with subject matter experts
  • Strong business perspective and experience partnering with technology teams and IT practices
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to learn quickly and synthesize high volumes of information and data
