Job Description
Chief Engineer position at Columbia Shipmanagement responsible for operation and maintenance of engines room. Requires STCW certifications and experience with electronic engines and cargo pump systems.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of Engines room and other machinery equipment
Requirements:
- Valid COC (STCW Reg III/2) with verification
- Valid STCW certifications required for the position
- Minimum experience requirements: 8 months in Rank with the same type/size of vessel
- Experience on Electronic engines is mandatory
- Experience in FRAMO and/or Steam Turbines cargo pump system is mandatory
- Experience in trading area USA and Australia is recommended
- Ability of good communication and leadership skills
- Effective English level
- Safety culture and mindset
- Experience in repairs and dry docking is required
- Experience with multicultural working environment
