Job Description
Chief Engineer leading development of innovative solutions for DoD/National Security. Supporting contract delivery, business development, proposal development with comprehensive technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for our DoD/ National Security (NS) Sector
- Support contract delivery and operations, business development, and proposal development
- Lead the development of comprehensive solutions ranging from development of IT applications, enterprise services, O&M modernization, digital transformation, and other technical areas.
- Create white papers, proposals, and briefings demonstrating the thought leadership capabilities of the organization
- Assist capture strategy development through technical leadership, including the creation and marketing of discriminating value propositions
- Conduct pre-sales engineering activities, to include engaging directly with customers in combination with our Business Development teams
- Own one or more sections of a proposal across a diverse range of topics
- Assist in the development of capabilities across multiple accounts within the business
- Support program management and business development reviews and assist in improving performance of existing projects as required
- Meet with customers when needed to brainstorm solutions and/or alternative solutions
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree
- 10+ years of experience planning, architecting, designing and developing system/software solutions with at least 4+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Engineer
- Experience in the following areas: System Development, Software or Application Development, Operations & Maintenance, System Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Agile/Scaled Agile
- Experience developing or managing DevOps/DevSecOps solutions that rely on cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience in architecture and design of distributed, highly scalable, highly available systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to apply critical thinking across an opportunity lifecycle – understanding what a customer is looking for and conceptualizing how a response would address the customer’s requirements.
- Experience translating technology solutions into high quality, well written responses throughout business development, capture, and proposal development lifecycles.
- The ability to conceptualize graphics to convey key solution concepts, graphically depicting process, relationships, dependencies, technologies, benefits, features, and other concepts that tie solutions to requirements.
- The proven ability to write, review, direct, and craft proposal sections across diverse disciplines and technology solutions.
