Job Description
City Manager maintaining Resident Advisor’s Montreal listings, relationships, and editorial coverage. Connecting the electronic music media brand with local artists, venues, promoters, and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate event, venue, and artist listings for Montreal
- Pitch locally relevant parties, people, and stories
- Contribute to RA formats including RA Picks, Local News, This Week’s New Music, Mix Of the Day, and Socials channels
- Act as a visible and trusted contact within Montreal’s electronic music community
- Provide local context on changes in the scene
- Maintain regular communication with the manager and wider Global Content Network
- Identify potential ticketing partnerships and hand introductions to the Revenue team
- Help promoters and venues get started with RA tools
- Maintain agreed priority relationships
- Support outreach, introductions, handover, and follow-up
- Potentially support nearby cities, translations, news writing, or local event support as separately commissioned add-ons
Requirements:
- Based in Montreal
- Embedded within the local electronic music scene with a wide existing network
- Outgoing personality who builds networks quickly
- Track record of effective communication, both personal and digital
- Passion and understanding of electronic music culture is fundamental
- Willingness to live RA’s values
- Submit CV and cover letter in English
