Job Description
City Manager maintaining Resident Advisor’s Chicago listings and editorial coverage. Building relationships across the local electronic music community and identifying ticketing opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate event, venue, and artist listings for Chicago
- Pitch locally relevant parties, people, and stories
- Contribute to RA formats including RA Picks, Local News, This Week’s New Music, Mix Of the Day, and Socials channels
- Act as a visible and trusted point of contact within Chicago’s electronic music community
- Share local context and intelligence with RA
- Maintain regular communication with the manager and wider Global Content Network
- Identify potential ticketing partnerships and hand introductions to the Revenue team
- Help promoters and venues get started with RA tools
- Maintain an agreed set of priority relationships
- Support commercial outreach and introductions with handover and follow-up
- Potentially support nearby cities, translations, news writing, or local event support through separately agreed add-ons
Requirements:
- Based in Chicago
- Embedded within the local electronic music scene with a wide existing network
- Outgoing personality who builds networks quickly
- Track record of effective personal and digital communication
- Passion for and understanding of electronic music culture
- Willingness to live RA’s values
- CV and cover letter submitted in English
