Job Description
Community Lead growing Kraken Pro’s crypto trading community for Payward, the financial infrastructure company behind Kraken. Engaging traders, running programs, and translating community feedback into product improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in Discord, Telegram, X, TradingView, Reddit, and relevant group chats
- Provide rapid, accurate communication during chain halts, listings, and major market movements
- Build and manage ambassador and power-user programs for market makers, quant desks, and high-volume traders
- Run AMAs, live trading sessions, feature launches, competitions, and post-mortems
- Gather product feedback and communicate issues to Product, then close the loop with the community
- Write threads on microstructure, feature teardowns, and release notes
- Measure sentiment, share of voice, community-sourced signups, and retention
- Support and grow the Kraken Pro trading community
Requirements:
- Actual trading experience, including familiarity with funding rates, maker/taker economics, slippage, and latency
- 3+ years running community or social for a product with a technical, skeptical audience
- Experience in crypto, fintech, gaming, or developer tools
- Strong short-form and long-form writing skills
- Experience building a community or social presence from a standing start
- Ability to operate independently without extensive approval processes
- Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-shipping, frequently reorganizing company
- Willingness to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of the hiring process
