Job Description

Community Manager building HEFTY.GG’s Discord and player community for GAMURS Group’s gaming rewards platform. Supporting users, running events, and shaping launch communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, moderate and grow the HEFTY.GG Discord from zero
  • Be the day-to-day voice on Reddit, X and other platforms where players are talking
  • Answer user questions and support enquiries
  • Escalate broken issues
  • Run competitions and community events day to day
  • Bring player feedback, complaints and sentiment back to the product team
  • Maintain relationships with partnered creators and community leaders
  • Learn the game and its community, including updates, culture, creators and in-jokes
  • Communicate product issues to users during launch
  • Support individual users with individual problems

Requirements:

  • Experience building or managing an online community, ideally in gaming
  • Excellent written English
  • Ability to shift tone between Reddit, Discord and X
  • Comfortable being visible and answering criticism in public without getting defensive
  • Good judgement about what sounds authentic and what sounds corporate
  • Able to work independently
  • Genuine curiosity about a game you may not have played yet
  • Short-form video, graphics or meme-making skills are nice to have
  • Experience with a product before it launched is nice to have
  • Relationships with gaming creators or streamers are nice to have
  • Experience moderating a large or difficult community is nice to have
  • Submit a résumé, a short introduction, and a 300-word application task
