Job Description
Community relations representative expanding Medicaid access for Centene, a healthcare organization. Supporting outreach, enrollment, renewal, events, and community partnerships across North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage and develop market penetration for Medicaid and Medicare products in the assigned territory
- Present health insurance products to prospective members and provide education and assistance
- Maintain relationships with community resource and advocacy groups
- Collaborate with internal staff, government agencies, and regulatory/accreditation entities
- Facilitate communication between the health plan and community-based organizations
- Assist members with accessing healthcare, transportation, and other services
- Monitor marketing guidelines, competitive products, and marketing practices
- Submit territory, product, and competitive-condition reports
- Build strategic relationships with community organizations, DSS offices, health departments, the Enrollment Broker, schools, and other stakeholders
- Support member education, outreach, enrollment, retention, Medicaid recertification, and HR1-related renewal efforts
- Plan and participate in community education and outreach activities, health fairs, events, campaigns, presentations, and collaborative events
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medicare, Ambetter, providers, agencies, schools, and community organizations
- Support community engagement strategies and sponsorship initiatives
- Manage budgets, event documentation, reporting, compliance, branding, and outreach standards
- Lift boxes containing marketing materials and travel
- Perform other assigned duties and comply with company policies and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of marketing, sales, community relations, or outreach experience
- Experience preferably in a managed care or Medicaid environment
- Candidates must reside in North Carolina within Mecklenburg County or surrounding counties
- Ability to lift boxes containing marketing materials for events
- Ability to travel
- Bilingual skills are a plus
