Job Description
Specialty Representative promoting AbbVie’s migraine medicines across Paducah healthcare accounts. Managing territory strategy, customer relationships, sales calls, and market intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives
- Manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluations
- Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns during sales calls
- Build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements
- Develop and execute call plans to optimize customer coverage and frequency
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales expertise
- Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers
- Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
- Operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of experience, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry preferred
- High school diploma/GED required
- Proven track record of leadership success
- Solid presentation skills
- Strong business acumen
- Proficient use of business tools
- Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to identify customer styles/behaviors and adapt selling approach
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge preferred
- English language proficiency preferred for non-English-speaking countries
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
- Must meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to drive a personal auto, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment
