Job Description
Delivery Solutions Architect shaping HubSpot integration projects for SmartBug Media. Translating client requirements into architecture, estimates, documentation, and developer-ready delivery plans.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technical direction of assigned integration projects from kickoff through launch
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact for clients at project kickoff
- Review signed Statements of Work to understand scope, deliverables, and timelines
- Lead discovery conversations and close gaps between the SOW and project needs
- Own and maintain effort models for integration work
- Produce technical documentation and client references for HubSpot Custom Integration accreditation
- Document requirements and decisions
- Build data maps showing how information moves and transforms between systems
- Create systems diagrams of integration architecture
- Design automation infrastructure, including workflows, triggers, and error handling
- Design for cross-platform stability under load, volume, and client-side changes
- Break projects into developer-ready tasks and hand them off to development teams
- Remain engaged through delivery to resolve ambiguity and unblock developers
- Flag scope gaps, technical risks, and misaligned expectations early
- Join sales scoping and discovery calls for new and expansion integration opportunities
- Assess technical feasibility and deal constraints
- Translate client requirements into effort estimates, assumptions, and dependencies
- Review draft SOWs for scope clarity, dependencies, and technical risk
- Answer client technical questions during the sales cycle
- Feed delivery insights back into future scoping and estimates
Requirements:
- Self-starter, passionate about process development and improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently and professionally handle multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Ability to move between delivery work and pre-sales requests
- Ability to communicate with developers and sales leads
- Ability to identify project obstacles and ensure stakeholder alignment
- Ability to limit assumptions and uncover critical project requirements
- Comfortable solving new technical challenges and navigating unfamiliar environments
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility
- Proven ability to meet and accommodate deadlines
- 3–5 years of experience in a solutions architecture, business analysis, or technical delivery role
- Experience reading and interpreting Statements of Work or similar technical requirements documents
- Hands-on experience integrating or migrating business systems outside the HubSpot ecosystem
- Experience scoping and estimating technical work
- Experience creating data maps and/or systems diagrams
- Solid understanding of data flows between systems
- Experience translating client requirements into developer-ready documentation
- Strong client-facing communication skills and experience leading discovery or requirements-gathering sessions
- Comfort presenting technical recommendations and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Experience designing integrations that remain stable in production
- Preferred: experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics or Great Plains, Zendesk, Keap, Creatio, Procore, Snowflake, point-of-sale or industry-specific platforms
- Preferred: experience with REST, SOAP, or GraphQL APIs
- Preferred: experience with an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) system
- Preferred: experience supporting sales in pre-sales, solutions consulting, or scoping
- Preferred: familiarity with Lucidchart, Visio, or Miro
- Preferred: experience with SQL and relational databases
- Preferred: software development background sufficient to scope developer-ready tasks
