Job Description
Digital Sales Representative growing Twilio’s nonprofit customer accounts and revenue. Selling Twilio communications API solutions across social impact organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand Twilio.org Self-Service and Named Account customers across nonprofit sectors
- Understand customers’ business and technical requirements and design solutions using Twilio’s communications API platform
- Manage full sales cycles and own a book of business to close new revenue, protect revenue, and drive upsell and cross-sell
- Execute programmable sales plays to deliver revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support teams on renewals and customer requirements
- Advise customers on digital communication strategies and help them get started on the Twilio platform
- Generate and maintain accurate sales pipelines and forecasts using Salesforce CRM
- Execute automation strategies for high-volume customer service while maintaining NPS and preventing churn
- Drive deals forward, remove customer and internal obstacles, recommend solutions, and improve processes
- Develop expertise in the social impact and nonprofit market
- Explain complex technical and financial details in simple terms
- Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects and deals simultaneously
Requirements:
- At least 5+ years of sales, marketing, and/or operations experience in a technical SaaS/CPaaS space, with a record of top performance
- Technical solutions selling experience, including closing experience
- Demonstrated track record of managing business forecasts and financial models
- Comfortable working with business and highly technical leaders, influencing their understanding and building supportive partnerships
- Analytical account development strategy based on using data to find opportunities and prove value
- Entrepreneurial mindset with appetite to define processes and build programs
- Record of delivering revenue and gross profit results
- Deep personal interest in the social impact market and dedication to making a positive difference
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to simplify complex technical and financial details
- High adaptability and comfort with new things, rapid pace, ambiguity, and change
- Strong process orientation and focus on improving systems and processes
