Job Description
Director leading DoorDash’s global mobility and immigration strategy, compliance, and operating model. Building a scalable function and developing globally distributed teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Global Mobility & Immigration function across the DoorDash brand ecosystem
- Own GMI strategy, operating model, performance, compliance risk, and employee experience end-to-end
- Build one globally integrated GMI ecosystem by harmonizing policies, roles, and ways of working across brands
- Lead and develop an existing globally distributed team and build the leadership bench and long-term team structure
- Define global GMI strategy and priorities aligned with People Operations and broader business strategy
- Own and evolve a scalable, growth- and M&A-ready global operating model
- Evaluate, negotiate, and consolidate immigration and relocation vendor relationships
- Drive process improvement and the technology roadmap from case intake through visa filing and relocation
- Serve as final escalation point for high-risk or cross-functional mobility and immigration issues
- Advise Legal, Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, and senior leadership
- Report to the Sr. Director, Head of Global People Operations and participate in the Global People Operations Leadership Team
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in global mobility and/or immigration
- Several years leading teams and owning strategy across multiple jurisdictions, ideally spanning the US, EMEA, and APAC
- Track record of building or scaling a global mobility/immigration function or operating model within a multinational, fast-paced environment
- Experience developing and leading people leaders
- Strong cross-cultural fluency and change management experience
- Experience leading globally distributed teams and driving alignment across regions and brands
- Experience partnering strategically with senior stakeholders and cross-functional leaders, including Legal, Talent Acquisition, and People Business Partners
- Sound judgment on high-risk, cross-functional escalations
- Ability to translate ambiguity into clear priorities
- Curiosity about applying new tools, including AI, to improve efficiency, insights, and employee experience
