Job Description
Director leading Email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing for Tinuiti, a U.S. full-funnel marketing agency. Guiding clients, teams, campaign innovation, and customer lifetime value growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a selection of clients and align account team recommendations with client objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Partner with internal leadership to address escalations and resolve issues
- Identify high-value opportunities to present, connect, and meet with key client stakeholders
- Oversee client onboarding, offboarding, and account transitions
- Ensure accurate and efficient delivery of Email & SMS operations requirements, including tracking and deliverability
- Partner with other agency teams to provide best-in-class client guidance
- Provide feedback, coaching, and evaluation for team members
- Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings and support team members' goals and tasks
- Manage client relationships, product delivery, team building, and career growth
- Collaborate with Pod Leaders and Directors to achieve financial targets and manage staffing, allocations, and client margin
- Monitor industry, consumer, platform, and vertical trends
- Implement innovative tactics and technologies to improve campaign effectiveness
- Develop thought leadership plans for the channel and Email & SMS team
- Develop client education strategies focused on advanced Email & SMS techniques
- Apply market developments, emerging trends, and industry best practices to client strategies
- Oversee integration and optimization of Email, SMS, in-app, push, and other lifecycle marketing channels
- Enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value through holistic, data-driven strategies
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Email & SMS Marketing roles
- Proven track record of executing successful campaigns
- 3–4 years of management experience
- Expertise in at least one ESP, one SMP, and overlay/real-time content/onsite messaging vendors
- Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, or SFMC experience is a bonus
- Demonstrated success analyzing data and using analytics tools to drive marketing decisions
- Advanced computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively across clients, partner relationships, and internal initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with external and internal teams
