Job Description

Director of Institutional Sales responsible for fundraising and investor engagement strategies in a startup environment. Collaborating with executive teams to prepare investor communications and manage due diligence processes.

Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an experienced Director of Institutional Sales to help drive our fundraising efforts and strengthen our relationships with the broader investment community
  • Leverage your existing network to identify, cultivate, and expand relationships with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and strategic investors
  • Support fundraising campaigns, roadshows, and one-on-one investor meetings
  • Craft and deliver compelling presentations, pitch decks, and financial updates that communicate our vision and growth trajectory
  • Support the investor due diligence process, including data room preparation, financial documentation, and strategic Q&A
  • Partner with legal, finance, and executive leadership to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all materials shared with investors
  • Share and respond to quarterly updates, investor letters, and ad hoc communications that highlight milestones, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and investor sentiment to help position the company strategically
  • Advise the leadership team on investor expectations and fundraising best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations, venture capital, investment banking, or startup fundraising
  • Proven track record supporting capital raises and managing due diligence processes
  • Strong network within the venture capital and growth investment community
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and strategic concepts into clear, persuasive narratives
  • High level of adaptability and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment
