Job Description
Director of Transportation managing logistics and transportation strategies for Coca-Cola. Overseeing a $1B budget and 600,000 shipments annually in North America.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all transportation modes
- Manage 500–1,000 shipments daily
- Oversee carrier sourcing, contracting, and performance
- Lead and coach teams in executing transportation planning
- Direct carrier relationship management
- Drive productivity initiatives and market benchmarking
- Partner with supply chain, finance, and global logistics teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of related experience
- 5+ years relevant work experience in Supply Chain/Operations or Transportation Management
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Project management experience
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to make decisions independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Relationship-building and conflict resolution skills
- Continuous improvement focus
