Job Description

Employee Relations Manager for Thermo Fisher Scientific ensuring compliance and handling investigations. Leading initiatives to foster ethical practices within the company culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for investigating internal complaints for assigned client group, ensuring a detailed investigation process, including investigation coordination, conducting interviews, and maintenance of accurate and detailed records and notes of the investigatory process.
  • Build comprehensive written investigation reports that clearly identify the issues investigated, summarize the evidence, make findings and recommendations, as well as identify root cause.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen culture programs focusing on ethical business practices.
  • Partner internally with ER colleagues and leaders, Employment law, and HR teams as appropriate to achieve responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Employee Relations efforts or relevant HR experience required.
  • Global HR/ER experience preferred
  • Experience conducting and managing human resources or employee relations investigations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting with little direction and without direct supervision.
  • Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
  • Strong project management, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong partnering, diplomacy, teamwork, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and integrity.
  • Ability to multitask and deal with ambiguity.
  • Be a phenomenal teammate with a flexible, adaptable, and results-oriented approach.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of investigative practices, risk management, and employment law.
  • Strong understanding of applicable employment laws required.
