Job Description

Enterprise Sales Executive responsible for developing sales strategies and managing customer relationships. Impacting revenue growth for Kong's enterprise API and AI platform in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to target enterprise customers
  • Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless sales experience
  • Identify customer pain points and align solutions to address these
  • Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives
  • Lead account planning efforts by researching potential customers
  • Monitor and manage sales activities and results

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales (>1k employees)
  • Proven track record of closing complex deals in a SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software environment
  • Demonstrated success in selling to large enterprises
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Knowledge of open-source software, APIs, or infrastructure software is highly advantageous
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
