Job Description
Event Manager leading front-of-house operations for global esports tournaments. Managing audience experience, vendors, ticketing, safety, budgets, and live event execution.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee front-of-house operations at the venue, including entry, seating, crowd flow, and audience experience
- Manage entrances, queues, seating sections, merchandise zones, fan activations, and accessibility services
- Develop FOH operational plans, staffing schedules, run-of-show integration, and audience management procedures
- Coordinate crowd management, audience flow, fan activations, security, and safety operations
- Oversee fan zones and interactive venue areas
- Coordinate load-in schedules with publishing, producers, and production teams
- Collaborate with venues and FOH vendors for ticketing, merchandise, fan experiences, and venue services
- Select and manage FOH operations partners and oversee staffing, recruitment, and training
- Oversee ushers, guest services, volunteers, and security teams during live event days
- Oversee the Ticketing Manager, ticketing deadlines, group allocations, ticketing platform alignment, and complimentary ticket distribution
- Coordinate with producers, production, broadcast, tournament operations, venue management, and publishing teams
- Review, approve, decline, assign, produce, and distribute credentials
- Coordinate audience queues, crowd engagement, giveaways, and live show participation
- Act as the primary escalation point for audience-related issues
- Ensure compliance with venue policies, safety regulations, and accessibility standards
- Coordinate medical coverage for staff and audiences when required
- Own and manage the FOH operations budget, including forecasting, planning, cost tracking, and reporting
- Track operational performance and provide post-event reports and recommendations
- Onboard team members and colleagues supporting FOH operations
- Update and maintain SOP documentation
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Current passport with at least 12 months validity
- 8+ years of experience in live event management, venue operations, or front-of-house operations
- Experience preferably within esports, sports, entertainment, or large-scale live events
- Proven experience managing audience-facing operations, including crowd flow, guest services, ticketing operations, and fan engagement
- Experience working with venues and third-party vendors, including operational partners responsible for staffing, guest services, and security
- Experience planning and executing complex live events, including advance planning and on-site operations
- Experience managing event budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and post-event reconciliation
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills
- Knowledge of crowd management, safety planning, and accessibility standards for live events
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and make sound operational decisions under pressure
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with esports, gaming communities, or live broadcast environments is strongly preferred
