Job Description
Travel Technician supporting successful production and delivery of live educational events in the USA. Role involves technical execution, troubleshooting, and relationship-building with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical execution of assigned live events, ensuring successful delivery of audio, video, streaming, and production components.
- Coordinate technical planning before each event, including equipment preparation, logistics, testing, and risk identification.
- Travel to event locations to manage on-site production, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high production standards under live conditions.
- Build strong relationships with clients, presenters, venues, and internal stakeholders while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Communicate project status, technical risks, and event updates proactively with production leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Support all phases of production, including pre-production planning, live event execution, post-production editing, and media management.
- Maintain and continually improve knowledge of production technologies, streaming platforms, and industry best practices.
- Assist in recruiting, coordinating, and managing freelance production contractors when additional support is needed.
- Support broader production initiatives and special projects during non-travel periods.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting live event production, broadcast, or video production environments.
- Experience operating professional video, audio, and live streaming equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver's license and ability to transport production equipment when required.
