Job Description
Executive Project Manager leading strategic data center equipment projects for Trane Technologies, a sustainable HVAC and climate-solutions company. Owning customer delivery from order intake through field deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary post-order liaison for large, strategic customers
- Own the customer relationship throughout project execution
- Identify and manage risks, escalations, and scope changes
- Coordinate project engineering, factory operations, logistics, sales, and regional execution teams
- Capture, validate, and communicate technical, commercial, and logistical requirements
- Serve as the customer execution lead for decision-making and issue resolution
- Oversee equipment order readiness, factory intake, production coordination, release, storage, staging, shipment planning, field deployment, and handoff
- Ensure storage, handling, and shipment requirements meet internal standards and customer-specific obligations
- Ensure technical, commercial, regulatory, and customer-specific documentation is complete and delivered on time
- Partner with quality teams to meet or exceed customer requirements and quality standards
- Drive consistency in execution practices across projects and regions
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and execution risks
- Provide structured feedback and support repeatable best practices for complex data center programs
Requirements:
- Significant experience managing large, complex, customer-facing projects or programs, ideally in data centers, critical infrastructure, HVAC, or industrial equipment environments
- Strong leadership and coordination skills across engineering, operations, logistics, sales, and field execution teams
- Proven ability to manage high-value customer relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact for strategic accounts
- Experience overseeing projects from order intake through manufacturing, shipment, deployment, and final handoff
- Strong understanding of project execution disciplines, including risk management, escalation handling, schedule coordination, and quality assurance
- Ability to manage technical, commercial, and logistical requirements in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail, especially related to documentation, compliance, and execution readiness
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve customer outcomes
- Ability to work effectively across regions and maintain consistency in execution for complex customer programs
- Safety-sensitive role; may require passing additional drug screening
