Job Description
Seasonal soil sampler collecting GPS-guided samples from rural farms for Corvian’s agricultural technology and soil-testing services. Recording data, maintaining sampling databases, and operating specialized vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned rural locations to take core soil samples from growers' fields
- Use GPS equipment and specialized company-provided vehicles to collect soil samples
- Ensure quality control and accurately record sample data
- Regularly communicate with leadership about field conditions
- Administer and maintain the sampling database
- Safely operate motorized vehicles and specialized sampling equipment
- Submit samples for analysis by a Corvian laboratory
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license for the designated province/state of employment
- Some agricultural experience would be an asset
- Ability to carry up to 40 lbs (20 kg in the advertising description)
- Ability to travel, often to rural areas
- Availability to work a combination of days, evenings, and/or weekends
- Proof of and maintenance of an acceptable driving record consistent with Vehicle Use Policies
