Job Description

Federal Security Solution Architect designing secure SD-WAN deployments for Versa Networks, a Secure SD-WAN and SASE company. Supporting customer proofs of concept, network architecture, and technical content.

Responsibilities:

  • Evangelize technical leadership to customers and partners
  • Provide architectural design services for state-of-the-art SD-WAN deployments
  • Produce HLD/LLD documentation
  • Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and features
  • Provide Professional Services on an assignment basis to strategic customers
  • Author whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other customer- and partner-facing content

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI is required
  • Experience planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks
  • In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and operation
  • Knowledge of WAN technologies and protocols including MPLS, MPLS-based VPNs, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, and Multicast
  • Knowledge of architecting and/or managing large-scale, high-performing, and resilient enterprise networking solutions
  • Knowledge of Linux administration
  • Shell scripting and Python scripting knowledge
  • Travel may be required to support customers on site
  • Operational knowledge of next-generation firewalls/UTMs, IDS/IPS, and malware prevention systems
  • Knowledge of best-practice architectures for SaaS applications
  • Hands-on experience with public and private cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, and VMware
  • Great analytical thinking
  • Ability to think full stack when solving problems
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Excellent hands-on skills deploying and troubleshooting complex networks
  • Willingness to help customers, peers, and other team members at any time
