Job Description
Field Service Technician repairing and replacing components across Invenergy’s renewable-energy power infrastructure fleet. Traveling four weeks at a time, training site personnel and leading safe field-service operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and train on major component replacements and repair services across the Invenergy fleet
- Perform operations and maintenance activities safely according to Invenergy policies and procedures
- Represent Invenergy and the Field Service Group to internal and external parties
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across multiple equipment platforms
- Train site personnel in safety, preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and operations support
- Lead teams performing major component replacements and repairs across multiple equipment platforms and manufacturers
- Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems
- Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of multiple equipment platforms
- Perform equipment and site inspections and compile reports
- Complete daily and monthly reporting requirements
- Write and revise component-replacement procedures and documents
- Travel away from home in four-week intervals and return home for one week off
Requirements:
- One (1) year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Ability to climb ladders without assistance
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
- Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn for job-related tasks
- Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Preferred: two (2) years of technical experience and/or technical education related to renewable energy systems
- Strong interest in and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with multiple equipment platforms strongly preferred
- Ability to use software systems to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to work safely with limited supervision
- Experience using Microsoft Office products
- Conditional-offer recipients must undergo drug testing and receive a negative result before starting work
- This is a safety-sensitive position
