Job Description
Finance Manager strengthening reporting, cashflow, and controls for a UK business from South Africa. Owning month-end close, management accounts, forecasting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Own month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and reporting packs
- Produce management accounts with actionable commentary for leadership
- Run cashflow forecasting and working capital management
- Oversee payables, receivables and payroll processes
- Strengthen financial controls, approvals and documentation
- Liaise with external accountants on VAT, compliance and year-end
- Partner with leadership on budgets, pricing and spend decisions
- Monitor cash position and unusual ledger activity
- Keep the close calendar on track and review incoming work
- Improve financial processes and tighten controls without slowing the business
Requirements:
- 5+ years' finance experience including management accounts responsibility
- Recognised accounting qualification or actively studying (SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA or similar)
- Excellent written and spoken English for board-level reporting
- Stable fibre internet
- Backup power for load shedding
- Private home office
- Advanced proficiency with Xero or similar cloud accounting software
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modelling
- Rigorous approach to controls and deadlines
- Sound commercial judgement
