Job Description
Head of Experience Design leading a global multidisciplinary design practice and driving business growth through experience design. Partnering with sales and executive leadership for client transformations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the vision, strategy, and evolution of the Experience Design (XD) practice across the organization, aligning design excellence with business growth, client impact, and market differentiation
- Manage and scale a global, multidisciplinary team of designers, strategists, researchers, and content specialists across onshore and offshore locations — fostering a unified culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration
- Partner with sales and executive leadership to drive new business growth, shaping go-to-market strategies, leading pitches, crafting proposals, and developing compelling narratives that convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships
- Own and drive a “land and expand” client strategy, nurturing executive relationships, identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts, and expanding the footprint of XD services across engagements
- Champion innovation and thought leadership, defining and advancing new service offerings, publishing perspectives, and positioning the organization as a leader in experience design, AI-enabled design, and digital transformation
- Build and evolve team capabilities, identifying skill gaps, hiring strategically, and investing in continuous learning to ensure the team remains ahead of industry trends and client needs
- Balance long-term vision with short-term execution, ensuring delivery excellence while continuously evolving the practice for future growth
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading large, global, multidisciplinary design teams within complex organizations
- Strong track record of driving revenue growth through partnership with sales, including leading pitches, proposals, and strategic pursuits
- Ability to connect design strategy to business outcomes, articulating value to executive stakeholders, with expertise in executive presentations and narrative storytelling
- Experience developing new offerings, accelerators, and thought leadership that drive market differentiation
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across disciplines, geographies, and seniority levels
- Proven ability to hire, grow, and evolve teams, balancing craft excellence with scalable delivery
- Comfort working with little process in place, actively looking for ways to solve problems proactively — leading teams through ambiguity and organizational shifts
- A strong point of view, an open mind, and the drive to inspire company leadership, as well as your team.
