Job Description
Full-time HR Generalist at Milestone Business Solutions, supporting small business clients' HR functions. Responsible for onboarding, compliance, and talent acquisition in a remote environment with occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
- Onboard and offboard team members
- Maintain employee files and process documentation
- Revise and update company handbooks, including first drafts of new policies
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state labor regulations
- Assist with leave management, including FMLA
- Assist with benefits enrollment and inquiries
- Coordinate performance reviews and stay interviews
- Coordinate workplace investigations, preparing reports as needed
- Oversee processing of payroll changes and system updates
- Support talent acquisition efforts with resume reviews, phone screens, and reference checks
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of HR experience
- A consulting mindset with excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Understanding of HR processes, best practices, and compliance
- Experience working with multi-state companies/clients is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, SHRM-CP or PHR a plus
