Job Description

Human Resources Assistant managing onboarding, HRIS records, and employee documentation. Supporting Koniag Government Services’ federal-government enterprise solutions and HR programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during onboarding
  • Send onboarding invitations through the HRIS and coordinate with recruiters to complete paperwork
  • Ensure timely execution and completion of workflows for each new employee
  • Enter employee documentation into E-Verify
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct new-hire orientations and onboarding activities
  • Ensure compliance with processes and maintain confidentiality
  • Manage HR information, including salary, title, reporting manager, and benefits changes
  • Maintain employee records and personnel documentation in the HRIS
  • Audit HRIS files and records for required documents
  • Develop scalable and measurable onboarding approaches
  • Collaborate with recruiting, hiring managers, IT, security, payroll, and other departments on HR programs and process improvements
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Support internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years prior human resources experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is a plus
