Job Description
Learning Experience Designer creating polished eLearning and customer education for Thomson Reuters Legal AI SaaS products. Using instructional design, multimedia, and AI tools to drive product adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts across Training/Professional Services, Marketing, and Product Management
- Create and maintain on-demand training materials for Thomson Reuters Legal products
- Drive creation and maintenance of eLearning experiences for Legal AI SaaS products to increase customer usage and adoption
- Manage projects from start to finish with internal teams and external vendors
- Design and develop video scripts, user guides, and additional eLearning course material
- Use AI tools, particularly Claude, to streamline content development and build custom learning interactions and lightweight interactive components
- Apply graphic design principles to produce polished, on-brand, visually navigable learning materials
- Use platform authoring tools and training best practices to create engaging learning experiences
- Provide thought leadership on eLearning and customer education innovation
- Build knowledge of Legal products and customers to keep training content current and valuable
- Maintain learning content in LMS and other technology systems
- Measure and analyze content effectiveness and update content as necessary
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communications, Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or Human Resources, or 5 years of Learning Experience Design or Instructional Design
- Solid grounding in adult learning theory and instructional design best practices
- Experience designing for external, customer-facing audiences
- Expertise with Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, WellSaid, HTML, and other website management tools
- Knowledge and working experience with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint
- Strong foundation in graphic design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for writing and designing instructional content
- Video creation and editing experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven project management and organization skills
- Reviewable portfolio of work preferred
- Customer education experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with AI tools, particularly Claude, strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred
