Job Description
Manager overseeing healthcare analytics operations in the Medical Policy department at Highmark Health. Responsible for implementing complex analytical activities and managing staff for optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage healthcare management analytics in the Medical Policy department.
- Develop and implement complex analytical, research, and decision support activities.
- Consult and provide analytical expertise for various projects related to Medical Policy.
- Manage hiring, coaching, and performance management of staff.
- Ensure timely delivery of all projects and initiatives.
- Establish vision and strategy for the analytics function.
- Stay current with industry best practices and tools in data visualization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Business, IT, or a related area
- 5-7 years of lead role experience in healthcare informatics, analytics, business intelligence or statistics
- 5-7 years of experience solving business, financial and/or clinical problems.
- 3-5 years of management experience
- Experience in Utilization Management and/or Medical Policy (preferred)
- Medical Coding certification (preferred)
