Job Description

Medicaid market research manager guiding Aetna’s health-plan capture and proposal strategy. Translating competitor and customer intelligence into winning proposal insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct in-depth market, customer, and competitor research to support capture strategy and proposal development
  • Curate market intelligence on customer and competitor programs, weaknesses, innovations, and performance
  • Develop actionable insights informing strategic decision-making, customer-centric approaches, and organizational growth
  • Collaborate with the Capture Director, business partners, consultants, capture leadership, proposal teams, and other stakeholders
  • Develop research reports, customer and competitor analyses, capture workshop deliverables, and other opportunity deliverables
  • Design and execute research studies; review and assess market data; translate findings into data-driven market strategies
  • Interpret and adapt strategic concepts to instruct or coach business partners and consultants
  • Organize and maintain research outputs and source materials in SharePoint for proposal writers and stakeholders
  • Synthesize research findings into reports, presentations, and dashboards for stakeholders from junior roles to senior executives
  • Track project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables and milestones
  • Direct proposal team members by providing insights, recommendations, and intelligence for content development
  • Work independently with limited direction and support capture planning, stakeholder engagement, and strategic proposal activities

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Medicaid Managed Care
  • 5+ years of specialized experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic analysis
  • Experience developing competitor analyses and actionable insights
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations that transform detailed research into clear, well-organized slides supporting executive decision-making
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with experience managing multiple projects and shifting priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proven project management skills and track record of meeting milestones in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including translating research into strategic recommendations
  • Experience communicating effectively with technical and non-technical organizational levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
