Job Description
Manage the BOGA Fund, supporting transitions away from oil and gas production for developing countries. Collaborating with governments to develop proposals and programs for the phase-out agenda.
Responsibilities:
- Manage regular Steering Committee Meetings and the materials for them.
- Support governments in developing and submitting proposals to the Fund.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of in-country work programs.
- Design and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems.
- Support the development of integrated knowledge products and capacity building.
- Support communications around the Fund and the wider finance for the phase-out agenda ahead of COP31.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong economics, energy, and/or oil and gas sector expertise.
- Solid track record of delivering technical assistance to ministries of finance, energy, and/or petroleum.
- Experience working directly with governments and development finance institutions.
- A good understanding of UNFCCC processes.
- Familiarity with developing nationally determined contributions and long-term strategies.
- Experience designing and coordinating funding proposals and raising donor resources for climate and energy transition-related assistance.
- Strong expertise in project management.
- Experience designing and implementing M&E strategies.
- Strong communication skills.
