Job Description
Manager, Service Implementation overseeing NRTC Managed Services projects with a focus on rural utilities. Responsible for successful completion of project deliverables, schedules, and milestones for members.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Managed Services Implementation Program and staff
- Oversee and manage templates for implementation projects, requests, and changes in alignment with NRTC Standards, Guidelines, and Policies
- Develop and manage a team of professional Project Managers
- Maintain, manage, and utilize project management procedures, templates, and tools to drive and track completion of work to ensure adherence to department policies
- Manage implementation projects of high complexity setting an example of exemplary PM performance
- Foster motivation within the project managers, as well as all levels of seniority to meet milestones and deadlines
- Maintain NRTC’s history of continuous improvement on projects by sharing lessons learned, developing solutions to existing problems, and driving incremental updates/changes to our templates
- Stay aware of trends related to Project Management and Service Management best practices to find opportunities to deploy better methods and procedures
- Respond to inquiries of PMO procedures across the entire Managed Services organization with continual development of relevant subject matter expertise
- Assign project work and communicate effectively cross departmentally to support the effective use of internal resources for program success
- Identify, mitigate, and manage risks, associated with all projects under this program
- Stakeholder management responsibilities will include reporting and managing communications from projects and changes
Requirements:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certified
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience managing projects
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing employees
- Strong experience with navigating project management terminology, phases, techniques, and tools (PMBOK)
- Established project management experience with a track record of successfully completed projects
- Communication skills that are positive and professional, both verbally and written
- Ability to identify critical deliverables and communicate key requirements effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively by fostering and leading a team environment to meet aggressive goals
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize new technologies and project management applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously
