Job Description
Engineering manager leading software teams at Syniti, which provides cloud-native enterprise data management solutions. Guiding architecture, delivery, team growth, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to the software engineering team
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
- Contribute to strategic decisions within the team’s scope
- Foster a positive team culture and collaboration
- Manage performance, provide feedback, and support professional growth
- Contribute to architectural decisions and guide complex software system design
- Collaborate with product management to prioritize team project features
- Understand business context and align engineering efforts
- Identify and mitigate software development project risks
Requirements:
- Experience in software engineering management
- Proven ability in leading teams, strategic planning, and change management
- Strong technical background in software engineering, with proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
- Demonstrated expertise in software architecture, system design, and implementation
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and risk management
- Ability to drive innovation and implement process improvement at scale
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Experience working with distributed teams and managing offshore team members is a plus
