Job Description

Medical Information Specialist building AI-enabled support for Praxis’ CNS medicines. Handling complex inquiries, governing scientific content, and improving AI-generated responses.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary human escalation point for complex Medical Information inquiries
  • Provide timely, accurate, balanced, scientifically appropriate responses to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, specialty pharmacies, payers, and other stakeholders
  • Research, author, and maintain a rigorous, scalable Medical Information content library
  • Evaluate scientific literature and emerging data to keep content current, consistent, and accurate
  • Monitor escalated and AI-generated responses for quality, accuracy, consistency, and appropriateness
  • Improve AI response quality and coverage by strengthening response libraries, knowledge bases, and workflows
  • Analyze inquiry trends, frequently asked questions, and emerging information needs
  • Identify content gaps, educational opportunities, and improvements to the Medical Information experience
  • Partner with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and other functions on material review and governance
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure timely fulfillment of requests
  • Help establish scalable Medical Information content, processes, metrics, and ways of working for launch readiness and portfolio growth

Requirements:

  • PharmD, RN, or bachelor’s degree in a life-sciences discipline; PharmD strongly preferred
  • 3–5+ years of Medical Information experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including direct experience responding to unsolicited medical inquiries
  • Strong scientific judgment and ability to evaluate clinical literature and translate complex information into clear, accurate responses for different audiences
  • Excellent medical writing and verbal communication skills, including confidence engaging directly with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Experience developing and maintaining Medical Information response content
  • Experience with inquiry management systems and commercial or launch-stage products is strongly preferred
  • Curiosity about AI-enabled Medical Information and judgment to determine where technology can improve the experience and where human expertise matters most
  • Ability to take ownership, move with urgency, identify gaps proactively, and continuously improve work
  • Comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, focus, clear communication, and regular use of computers, devices, or office equipment
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed
