Job Description
Music production expert evaluating AI-generated music for Mercor’s partner AI lab. Rating songs, vocals, lyrics, genres, and production quality in Hungarian and English.
Responsibilities:
- Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head for musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
- Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics
- Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy
- Work in Hungarian and English
- Complete the Bilingual Competency Interview in Hungarian
- Participate in onboarding and project assignments for up to six months
Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Hungarian
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
- 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
- Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening
- Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition (nice to have)
- Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work (nice to have)
- Broad familiarity with contemporary Hungarian genres, sub-genres, and artists (nice to have)
- Must be able to work as an independent contractor
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
