Job Description

Philippines-based Paralegal supporting Career Team’s government-funded workforce development programs. Managing U.S. and Philippine contracts, compliance filings, and legal documentation remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Legal Department under the General Counsel
  • Review, redline, and manage contracts for U.S. operations under attorney direction
  • Maintain contract management systems, tracking key dates, renewals, and deliverables
  • Support compliance monitoring and prepare compliance reports and documentation
  • Draft and maintain internal policies and procedures for U.S. and Philippines operations for attorney review
  • Track filing deadlines and assist with U.S. and Philippine tax compliance documentation
  • Prepare and submit registrations, permits, annual reports, and other corporate compliance filings
  • Coordinate insurance coverage documentation and support insurance procurement
  • Collect and organize documents and gather facts for internal investigations
  • Obtain required signatures for procurements and proposals
  • Manage legal department tasks through ticketing or workflow management systems
  • Provide general litigation and corporate legal support as assigned
  • Support Philippines employment law compliance and HR legal documentation
  • Maintain compliance calendars for filings, renewals, licenses, permits, and registrations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate; a law degree or legal studies background is a plus but not required
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a similar legal support role
  • Located in the Philippines with night shift work hours to overlap with the U.S. team
  • Experience or formal education related to U.S. law is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with U.S. corporate compliance, contracts, or tax filings preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying issues and escalating them appropriately
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote U.S.-based team
  • Commitment to ethical, mission-driven legal work
  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification
