Job Description

Part-time CTE Coordinator supporting personalized online education at Idaho Technical Career Academy. Coordinating career planning, assessments, partnerships, and student transitions to education and employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program through development of student services
  • Collaborate with administrators, student services personnel, and teachers to deliver career development services
  • Facilitate linkages with parents, business/industry, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations
  • Support students’ transition to postsecondary education and employment
  • Assist with program funding and compliance
  • Assist students with selection of appropriate academic and CRE courses
  • Coordinate career planning activities in classrooms, groups, or individual sessions
  • Provide and coordinate administration and interpretation of career assessments
  • Provide information on postsecondary education programs and employment opportunities
  • Facilitate work-based learning opportunities
  • Coordinate activities that develop students’ employability skills
  • Promote career research and work-based learning in CRE and academic courses
  • Promote technology use for career planning and research
  • Serve as liaison with business, industry, education, and military communities
  • Facilitate partnerships that provide student opportunities and support CRE
  • Publicize partnership resources
  • Participate in professional development at local, regional, state, and national levels
  • Engage in professional growth to remain current with workforce trends and emerging careers
  • Assist with activities ensuring program funding and compliance

Requirements:

  • Idaho CTE Teaching Certificate
  • Residency in Idaho
  • Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of CRE experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to clear required background check
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience using a student information system and/or database
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
  • Web proficiency
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Experience as an online/virtual educator
  • Experience with CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organizations)
