Job Description

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing telemedicine assessments, treatment, and medication management for Thriveworks mental-health clients in Michigan. Serving primarily adults and adolescents while collaborating on care plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in an ongoing telemedicine capacity
  • Treat a diverse population with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more
  • Provide care primarily to adults and adolescents, with willingness to treat clients aged 14 and up
  • Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed
  • Create and collaborate with clients on care plans
  • Complete and/or administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools
  • Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at various sites
  • Accept and treat ADHD clients after completing the ADHD Clinic training

Requirements:

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certification required
  • Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required in the state
  • Three years of experience is a plus
  • 1 year of psychiatry practice is required
  • Must be licensed and living in Michigan, the state in which they will be practicing
  • Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
  • Part-time requires 15–20 hours of availability per week
  • Willingness to treat 14-year-olds and up
  • Completion of in-house training on ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach, followed by a brief exam
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire
  • Position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship, either now or in the future
