Job Description
Payroll Specialist providing payroll processing and HR-related support for small business clients. Responsible for preparing and processing payrolls while meeting deadlines in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support payroll processing and compliance for multiple clients
- Provide HR-related support to small and growing businesses
- Prepare and process payrolls on different pay schedules
- Assist with payroll deadlines and follow-up as needed
- Work with team for fractional, project, and consulting services
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience processing payrolls
- Gusto and Paylocity, required. QuickBooks, Patriot, ADP, and others are a plus.
- Experience with both small and medium sized business payrolls.
- Experience with payroll platform implementations and migrations.
- Experience in drafting payroll-related documentation (process, procedure, etc.) and training material
- Experience with opening, closing, and resolving issues with state payroll tax accounts
- Strongly Preferred FPC or CPP (current or past)
- Experience in a consultant-type role where you have multiple clients
- Experience with Government Contractor payroll and compliance
- Located in Florida or Virginia
