Job Description
Pediatric Hospital Sales Specialist growing Abbott’s pediatric nutrition products across Minneapolis-area hospitals. Managing hospital accounts, clinical education, contracting, and territory sales.
Responsibilities:
- Promote, manage, and grow Abbott Nutritional products in hospital settings
- Develop and support territory sales goals in major hospital systems for Similac, Neosure, and HPCL
- Conduct hospital negotiations and contracting
- Work with hospital supply chain
- Deliver product, clinical study, protocol, and guideline information in a selling environment
- Support new product launches
- Work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians, Nurses, Neonatologists, Nutrition professionals, RNs, and Supply Chain stakeholders
- Organize time and manage administrative responsibilities
- Manage budgets
- Function independently with initiative and autonomy
- Host evening educational opportunities for Healthcare Professionals 1–2 nights per quarter
- Travel 30–90 minutes within the territory, with 5–10% overnight travel for district/regional meetings and trainings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of three years sales experience in a hospital setting is ideal
- Experience working with Supply Chain and Health Care Professionals is ideal
- Clinical experience is ideal
- Registered Dietitian with sales experience is ideal
- Technical knowledge of nutrition products and clinical information is ideal
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. to assist with stocking and movement of pediatric products
- Must live in the territory
- Local candidates only; relocation is not available
- Ability to work with hospital departments including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units
- Preferred candidates include Registered Dietitians, NICU nurses, Labor & Delivery nurses, and Registered Nurses
