Job Description
vAuto Performance Manager retaining dealership clients and expanding software adoption for Cox Automotive. Managing regional accounts, launches, at-risk customers, and product upsells across automotive retail markets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage client retention and utilization across a portfolio of 100–140 accounts and multiple software applications
- Harvest additional accounts and expand or upsell product functionality to maximize revenue growth
- Apply knowledge of vAuto Provision, Conquest, Stockwave, and KBB Instant Cash Offer to manage account progress and results
- Align software utilization with client objectives across multiple applications
- Build and develop relationships with dealers, owners, decision makers, and management
- Conduct needs assessment reviews and develop strategic action plans
- Identify barriers and core problems preventing clients from meeting business objectives
- Apply problem-solving skills and strategic insight to accomplish client goals
- Maintain client relationships through regular onsite visits and/or virtual screen-share engagements
- Oversee account launches and ensure effective use of applicable resources
- Develop action plans for at-risk clients to turn around and retain relationships
- Generate additional business and revenue through existing-account expansion and product upsells
- Encourage clients to attend product workshops
- Participate in product development and enhancement review sessions
- Exchange best practices across the retail sales and performance management team and other business units
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field
- Alternative qualifications: master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field
- Valid driver’s license required
- Safe driving record
- Preferred: at least 7 years of recent retail automotive management experience
- Preferred: experience as a General Manager, General Sales Manager, Used Car Manager, Preowned Director, or similar
- Preferred: direct management of preowned operations
- Ability to work independently in a remote-based team
- Ability to operate with considerable latitude and minimal guidance to resolve complex situations
- Relationship management capabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with all levels at automotive dealerships or dealer groups
- Ability to articulate and communicate while retaining audience engagement
- Exceptional listening skills and ability to detect problems and risks remotely
- Ability to ask open-ended questions
- Client focus and excellent customer service skills
- High energy, enthusiasm, resilience, determination, proactiveness, relentlessness, and drive
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management systems and automotive management systems
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test
- Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
- No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future
